A new Rotary Peace Center will soon open at Symbiosis International University in Pune, India, expanding Rotary’s global commitment to peace and conflict resolution.

This center will offer a unique opportunity for peace and development professionals from across Asia to enhance their knowledge in peace studies, conflict transformation, and sustainable development.

“The fellows of Symbiosis will focus on peacebuilding efforts throughout Asia,” said Rotary International President Stephanie A. Urchick.

“With each new peace center, we are building a network of peacebuilders who are local experts with global reach.”

This new center joins an established network of Rotary Peace Centers worldwide.

Since their creation, these centers have trained more than 1,800 Rotary Peace Fellows.

Many of these alumni have gone on to lead impactful careers in government, education, non-governmental organizations, and international institutions, promoting peace and understanding in their communities and beyond.

The Pune center marks an exciting new chapter in Rotary’s mission for global peace.
