The President, at the Heart of the Club’s Life

Transcript :

The President of a Rotary club is first and foremost the guarantor of the club’s vitality and dynamism.

They chair the statutory meetings, prepare the agendas with their team, and ensure the quality of discussions and the friendly atmosphere.

They lead and coordinate the work of the club committee, relying on the chairs of the various committees: membership, service projects, communication, Rotary Foundation, youth, etc.

They set the priorities for the year, promote their achievement, and ensure that collectively made decisions are followed through.

The President also represents the club within the district, Rotary International, and with external partners.

They maintain relationships with other Rotary clubs and participate in district events.

Finally, they oversee the welcoming of new members, their integration, and the retention of all members.

Their role is to foster friendship and service, inspire people to act together, and pass on to the next president an active, united club that is open to its community.
