The Rotary Peace Centers

Transcript :

The Rotary Peace Centers, established in 2002, represent Rotary International’s commitment to fostering global peace.

These centers offer master’s degrees and professional development certificates in peace and conflict studies at leading universities worldwide.

The initiative stemmed from Rotary’s long-standing dedication to international understanding and conflict resolution.

By providing rigorous academic training and practical experience, the centers aim to equip individuals with the skills to become effective peacebuilders.

Since their inception, the Rotary Peace Centers have expanded to include eight locations across the globe.

They have produced hundreds of alumni who are now working in various fields, including government, non-profit organizations, and international agencies, contributing to peace efforts worldwide.

The centers’ impact is evident in the graduates’ diverse contributions, from mediating conflicts to advocating for human rights, demonstrating the program’s success in cultivating a network of global peace leaders.

Recently a new Rotary peace center was open at Bahçeşehir University in Istanbul.
