The Induction ceremony
Transcript :
The induction of a new member is a high point in the life of the Club and even more so for the new Rotarian.
Here is an example of an organization for this important ceremony.
First of all, the sponsor presents the new member.
The President reads the Rotary values and the 4-way test.
Then he/she asks the applicant:
- Do you agree with the two texts that have just been read?
- Do you acknowledge that you have been informed of the importance of attending meetings and service projects?
- Are you ready to participate actively in the life of the Club and take responsibility?
He/she invites the assembly to stand and finally declares:
- Taking note of your commitment, I solemnly declare you admitted to our Club
He/she pins the Rotary badge on the new member
He/she can give him an admission kit
He/she introduces the spouse of the new member and thanks the sponsor
