The Code of Policies

The purpose of this Code is to consolidate all general and ongoing policies of the Board of Directors, Conventions and Councils on Legislation of Rotary

International into a single document and to organize them thematically in a logical order using consistent terminology.

The Code of Policies constitutes an important source of information for all Rotarians and in particular Governors, Club Presidents, and Committee Leaders for the organization of all their activities and practices.

It can be viewed on the “My Rotary” website.

The Code was first proposed in 1980. It is updated after each Council on Legislation

This Code complements the Manual of Procedure and statutory documents and must be considered to be in harmony with them. If the provisions of the statutory documents and those of this Code diverge, the statutory documents take precedence.
