Rotary International’s successive headquarters

The national association of Rotary clubs — what is now Rotary International — was created in 1910 and decided to set up in the office of its secretary, Chesley R. Perry, in Chicago.
Since that date, the headquarters of Rotary International has moved many times.
1910: Chesley R. Perry’s office on LaSalle Street in Chicago
1911: First National Bank building in Chicago
1913: Fort Dearborn Building in Chicago
1914: Karpen Building on South Michigan Avenue in Chicago
1923: Atwell Building in Chicago
1928: Chicago Evening Post building on West Wacker Drive
1934: Jewelers building on East Wacker Drive in Chicago
1954: Ridge Avenue in Evanston
Finally, Rotary purchased a building on Sherman Avenue in Evanston from Baxter Travenol Laboratories in 1987.
One Rotary Center still houses Rotary’s international headquarters today.
